Fall updates

Hey everyone! With the collection releasing on Friday I thought I’d drop in here and leave a quick update.

My studio is in a small commercial building that me and my husband Cedric bought last year. It’s in a tiny, tucked away neighborhood that the city forgot about. Last fall there was a massive landslide caused by the water company, suddenly drawing quite a lot of attention our way. For the past year we have had countless engineers, surveyors and utility workers visiting our tiny neighborhood. As part of the ongoing project of fixing the landslide, the sewer has been updated, new gas service added, and the waterline completely replaced.

This month, I got to watch the process of digging up and tying into a long abandoned water line on the hillside which really sounded like an impossible task, but they did it. We have maybe another week or 2 of this project, then we can start to think about landscaping the area etc which is exciting.

I of course did not miss the opportunity to do a shoot with the machinery while it was parked outside our building over the weekend!

I’m really happy with how this collection came together. I also experimented with zippered versions of some of my outerwear this time around. I messed around with my stash from about 10 years ago, so I ended up with a few different results.

Long Sentinel with 2 way zipper
Classic fit Sentinel with black oxide zipper
Falmouth jacket with heavy duty 2 way zipper and snaps

I would love your feedback on which variants you prefer, so I know what to focus on for my next collection. Thank you!
